A new session from the U-16 youth national team training books has been added to the US Club Soccer library on

Through a Players First partnership with US Club Soccer, SportSessionPlanner is helping to improve Club Development and Coaching Development in American youth soccer.

This 55-minute training session is designed to improve attacking principles through four different exercises:

  • Functional passing – “thru thirds” (15 minutes)
  • Functional passing – final (5 minutes)
  • Angled 5v2 (15 minutes)
  • 6v6 bumpers (20 minutes)

About US Club Soccer / SportSessionPlanner partnership:


This partnership provides US Club Soccer members with tools to manage their own match preparation and analysis, as well as external sessions to reference.
