21 Dec Join US Club Soccer & LaLiga at 2016 NSCAA Convention

US Club Soccer is preparing for a significant presence at the 2016 NSCAA Convention, Jan. 13-17 in Baltimore, Md., highlighted by LaLiga, US Club Soccer’s new technical partner.

The event is labeled as the “World’s Largest Annual Gathering of Soccer Coaches” with more than 4,000 coaches and 10,000 attendees expected. The NSCAA Convention annually features live field demonstrations, lectures, networking socials and more.

US Club Soccer will host three sessions by LaLiga officials, an autograph opportunity and a booth focused on Players First.

“We look forward to meeting with our members and making new connections at the NSCAA Convention,” US Club Soccer CEO Kevin Payne said. “This is an important opportunity to show the soccer community how we’re elevating the game through Players First and our LaLiga technical partnership.”

LaLiga signed a long-term technical partnership with US Club Soccer at the Players First launch event in August at Nike World Headquarters. The expansive partnership provides US Club Soccer members with curriculum to enhance the daily youth soccer training environment for better development of all players.

In 2016, it will also include reciprocal coaching education seminars and elite player training opportunities abroad, including direct involvement with US Club Soccer’s id² Program and Player Development Program.

“This is a unique opportunity for LaLiga to share our insight with the American soccer coaching audience,” said Fernando Sanz, General Director of LaLiga Middle East and North Africa. “It is a big step for our organization to invest resources to assist development of American soccer, and we look forward to deepening our relationships with the thousands of youth coaches in attendance.”
