Stewart Brown, current girls soccer coach for perennial Dallas-area powerhouse Highland Park High School and the DOC of Highland Park Soccer Academy, outlines the ways in which he gives players autonomy within the team structure. Brown said he often gives the team’s seniors control over practice, so they can conduct team-bonding activities. He also accepts a great deal of input from players on the balance between duration and intensity of practice and training sessions.
