Injuries, unfortunately, are a part of sports. Leslie Osborne, a PCA National Advisory Board member and former U.S. Women’s National Team player, recalled a time when she tore her ACL, forcing her to miss the 2008 Olympics.
Although she was unable to participate on the field, she remained a leader from the sidelines. Osborne emphasized the importance of maintaining perspective and staying positive throughout the whole process. “You have to keep that goal and that vision that you’re going to come back stronger and better than what you were before you got injured,” she said.
