09 May LaLiga Kimet Planning releases exclusive offensive system development exercise
Players First partner LaLiga Kimet Planning has released an exclusive exercise to US Club Soccer members. The new offensive system development exercise is composed of two teams of eight players. It calls for each team to line up with four in defense and a 4-man diamond in midfield.
One team will attack a large goal on the end-line, while the other will attack three small goals across the field. This allows each team to practice different attacking and defensive methods, such as quick, central attacks against the large goal, slower, more indirect attacks against the three smaller goals, and the necessary defensive styles to combat these offenses.
The exercise is most effective amongst 10- or 11-year-old players and helps players increase their abilities to observe patterns of play being developed throughout the game. It will also strengthen the athletes’ ability to develop the game model, analyze variables in the different areas of the field, utilize and adjust the patterns of play to gain control of the game, and generate offensive perception based on the zone of the field.
Kimet Sport exercise and session planning is the official methodology software of LaLiga. The technical staff from the 1st Division, 2nd Division and 2nd Division B all have access to LaLiga Kimet Planning, and top clubs such as Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, Athletic de Bilbao and Eibar have all utilized it as a methodology tool. Every team within Sporting de Gijón and Osasuna (LaLiga 2nd Division clubs) currently utilize LaLiga Kimet Planning, while many clubs such as FC Barcelona, Villareal, Sevilla, Real Sociedad and more also utilize the tool for managerial purposes.
