Christian Lavers became the organization’s Executive Vice President on Jan. 1, 2011.
He oversees US Club Soccer’s technical and development programs, including league programs and competitions, develops the organization’s marketing and commercial strategies, and manages the organization’s strategic partnerships and sponsorships.
Lavers has an extensive background in coaching, including time in youth soccer, college soccer, professional soccer, and with U.S. Soccer’s youth national teams. His teams have reached national final fours at five different levels, and he has developed players for youth national teams and professional soccer. Lavers is also the President of the Elite Clubs National League and an assistant with the Chicago Red Stars in the NWSL.
Prior to working at US Club Soccer, Lavers was a corporate attorney specializing in negotiations, commercial transactions and intellectual property. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a focus in finance and marketing, and a law and MBA degree from the University of Wisconsin. A USSF National “A” License and NSCSAA Premier Diploma holder, Lavers has also published numerous articles in a variety of professional publications and journals and teaches the US Club Soccer / NSCAA Director of Coaching course.
