06 Dec Kevin Payne and Christian Lavers to participate in ‘Women in Soccer’ symposium
US Club Soccer CEO Kevin Payne and Executive Vice President Christian Lavers will both participate in the second annual “Women in Soccer” symposium, Jan. 10 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and neighboring JW Marriott.
“Women in Soccer is a celebration of what has been accomplished and a commitment to diversify the future,” according to the event website. Soccer leaders from around the country – including Payne and Lavers – will participate in panel discussions, Q&As and keynote speeches. The event is sponsored by GoalNation and the NSCAA.
“The Male Perspective: Why Women Succeed” is a discussion at 3:30 p.m. PT led by Payne, John Motta (USASA), Keith Tozer (USA Futsal), Jerry Zanelli (WPSL) and Sam Snow (USYS). Shortly thereafter at 5 p.m., Lavers is joined by Duncan Riddle (USASA), Evelyn Gill (New Jersey Youth Soccer), Caitlin Carducci (USSF), Heather Dyche (University of New Mexico) and Jene Baclawski (South Texas Youth Soccer) for a session titled “Achieving Gender Equality: Reshaping Perceptions.”
