“Raymond Verheijen and World Football Academy is the next step in the evolution of coaching education,” said Jason Aldous, Liverpool SC Coaches Director. “Raymond helps you see the simplicity in coaching and creates the background for the game that so many of us have looked for but missed. You will learn on two levels – both learning how to coach, but also being coached in an environment that teaches you to raise the bar.”

Ryan Shera, Director of Coerver Coaching San Diego, recently completed the WFA Mentorship in Amsterdam. He added, “If you crave professionalism, accountability and high-standards for your football environment, take this course immediately.”

Verheijen is widely recognized as the world’s leading expert and educator in football periodization. The World Football Academy is a global soccer education institute founded by Verheijen to “make football better.” Verheijen has a master’s degree in exercise physiology and sport psychology, and has worked with multiple professional teams including Barcelona, Chelsea, the Feyenoord Academy and Manchester City. At the international level, he is the only coach to have worked with teams at each of the last eight World Cups or EUROS – Holland (Euro 2000, 2004), South Korea (FIFA World Cup 2002, 2006 and 2010), Russia (Euro 2008 and 2012) and Argentina (FIFA World Cup Final 2014).

World Football Academy joined the growing list of Players First partners in Sept. 2015, and has contributed youth periodization webinars to US Club Soccer members.
