WAUKEGAN, Ill. | Nearly 250 teams from 13 states participated in the National Cup XVI Midwest Regional, June 23-26 at Waukegan Sports Park and Libertyville Township Soccer Complex.

The Midwest Regional was the second Regional among US Club Soccer’s cup-based national championship series, featuring 12-U through 18/19-U boys and girls teams. Champions of 13-U through 18/19-U age groups now look to add national championship hardware to their trophy cases, as they prepare for the National Cup XVI Finals, July 21-24 at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind.

The winners’ stage featured a diverse group of 27 teams from 17 clubs and five states. In total, teams came from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota and Texas.

Age groups featured Super Group (most competitive) and Premier Group brackets. Sockers FC (Ill.) came away with the most titles of any other club with four. REV SC (Minn.) followed closely behind with three championships, while Libertyville FC 1974 (Ill.), Lou Fusz SC (Mo.), Minneapolis United SC (Minn.) and Soccer Vision Academy (Ohio) secured two apiece.
