29 Nov South Florida Youth Soccer League continues expansion, focus on ‘wholesome athletic development’
In just four years, the South Florida Youth Soccer League (SFLYSL) has grown from a recreational base to now including a competitive platform with more than 45 teams and 17 clubs.
Since its inception, this US Club Soccer-sanctioned league has focused on player development. Now, the SFLYSL mission has evolved to: “provide high-level competition for youth soccer teams in the South Florida area, and to encourage wholesome athletic development for the clubs in our communities through competition and sportsmanship.”
In the future, the SFLYSL aims to offer spring and fall seasons. Games and training are held in three locations: South (Amelia Earhart Park), Central (Brian Piccolo Park) and North (Tradewinds Park).
US Club Soccer’s mission is to foster the growth and development of soccer clubs throughout the United States to create the best possible development environment for players of all ages in every club.
US Club Soccer fulfills its mission largely through Players First, a branded, holistic club soccer experience for parents and players which emphasizes the development of each individual to his or her full potential, and helps parents make better choices about where their children should play.
