After releasing the groupings of the 2018 Mediterranean International Cup (MIC) last week, MIC officials have now released schedules for the group stage.

The 2018 id2 National Selection team claimed the top spot in Group L, drawing the following opponents for the initial group stage:

  • Trendsetter Hawks FA (Trinidad & Tobago)
  • Racing Sarriá CF (Spain)
  • Club Daniel Carnevali (Canary Islands)

MIC games consist of two 20-minute halves. The id2 National Selection’s opening MIC game is Wednesday, March 28 at 11 a.m. (local time) against Trendsetter Hawks FA. The following day, there are two games: 12 p.m. against Club Daniel Carnevali and 7 p.m. against Racing Sarrià C.F.

While those games are a couple weeks away, the 2018 id2 National Selection International Tour officially begins next week with a domestic camp in New Jersey, March 22-24, before traveling to Spain.

After an overnight flight, the delegation will arrive in Barcelona on the morning of March 25, before transferring to Girona until the afternoon of March 27. On the final night in Girona, the id2 National Selection plays in a scrimmage against Girona FC Infantil A – also competing in the MIC.
