Brad Frost, head coach of the University of Minnesota women’s ice hockey team, stresses the importance of coaches being upfront with their players about their roles. It’s important that athletes are told what their responsibilities are, and why they are important to the success of the team.
Once they understand their role, they can begin to work hard at making sure they execute their duties as best they can.
