Tod Creneti, the PCA Tampa Bay Training Manager, advises coaches to not get caught up in wins and losses. Instead, realize that as a coach, you are in a unique position to shape athletes’ lives.
Creneti says that if coaches are successful, their players will want to come back and play for them in the future, and in 20 years, the player will want to come back and introduce his or her children to that coach. If a coach has done his or her job, the relationship will last a lifetime.
