17 Aug Beyond Pulse Speed Series, ‘Stages of Speed Trainability in Youth Soccer’ launches Thursday on Facebook Live
As the first episode of their Beyond Pulse Speed Series of webinars, US Club Soccer and Beyond Pulse will host “Stages of Speed Trainability in Youth Soccer” on Thursday, Aug. 23, at 12 p.m. ET. The four-part webinar series will explore safe and effective speed training methods for youth soccer players.
The Beyond Pulse Speed Series will be streamed live on US Club Soccer’s Facebook page.
In the 15-minute webinar, Beyond Pulse expert Johnny Wilson will address the question: does the “Speed Gene” exist? Can we train speed in young soccer players and increase their performances on the field? Wilson will examine this question using three age-group windows of trainability, 5-10, 11-15, and 16 years and older. He will also demonstrate how healthy, proper speed training can be integrated into Beyond Pulse’s smart belt player monitoring technology.
Beyond Pulse co-founder Michael Sup will join Johnny Wilson, alongside US Club Soccer moderator Ashley Lehr.
Three more Beyond Pulse Speed Series webinars will follow to focus on agility, maximal velocity and acceleration/deceleration, respectively.
Beyond Pulse recently completed a summer circuit of events that saw them on-site to provide their smart belt technology to youth athletes across the nation.
