After concluding his spectacular professional career, which spanned 17 seasons with Columbus Crew, Chicago Fire and Fulham, and saw him captain the U.S. Men’s National Team, Brian McBride has gone on to serve the U.S. soccer landscape off the field as well. Since retiring, McBride serves on PCA’s National Advisory Board, works as an ESPN analyst, and is the CEO and co-founder of Tipevo.
In this video, McBride explains how positive coaching enables the game to grow by encouraging and motivating youth athletes to keep playing. He speaks on how great coaches reach individuals in different ways based upon their personality, but they will stick to the right principles. Positive experiences is what causes kids to play the sport more.
