09 Jan Nearly 200 coaches educated at LaLiga Formation Methodology Level 3 course in Livermore, California
LIVERMORE, Calif. – The 11th LaLiga Formation Methodology Level 3 course and first of 2019 was held January 3-5 at Las Positas College in Livermore, California. A total of 169 coaches from 91 clubs attended the two-and-a-half-day course.
Hosted by NorCal Premier Soccer, the opening half-day saw LaLiga Technical and Methodological Advisor and course instructor, Gari Fullaondo introduce the program as the coaches arrived in Livermore. The course’s second day featured multiple classroom and field sessions focused on technical training, before the third and final day saw the coaches brave a storm for a field session about game tactics and spacing. Fullaondo closed out the final classroom session with a presentation on the Kimet Planning tool and establishing a personal club methodology, before the coaches split into smaller groups and shared their own presentations based on their newly acquired knowledge from the weekend.
Assisting Gari Fullaondo in leading the course was Hugo Blanco and Zunbeltz Fullaondo. The trio showed attendees how to build a proper foundation for their clubs – one built on proven methodology and tactics. Fullaondo, the LaLiga Formation Methodology series leader, was the Director of Methodology at Athletic Bilbao, and all three are UEFA-PRO coaches. Their vast experience at the upper levels of the sport are detailed here.
Through the 14th-ever LaLiga Formation Methodology course, about 1,500 coaches from more than 400 clubs have been educated in LaLiga Formation Methodology. Stay tuned for announcements regarding upcoming courses in 2019.
