Five clubs were especially busy on the final days of the boys’ and girls’ competitions. VSA Rush advanced three boys teams to their respective finales, and one won a title (U-16 Boys Super Group). That U-16 age group was a sweep for Iowans on the boys’ side, as Sporting Iowa Central won the Premier Group title. This was VSA Rush’s four National Cup Finals championship in the past three years.

Amarillo Rush was the only club to have teams playing on both the boys’ and girls’ final days. Amarillo Rush won the U-19 Girls Super Group and finished as finalists in the U-15 Boys Premier Group.

On the girls’ side, Erie FC, Elite FC and Empire Surf were among the club standouts. Erie FC won two girls titles. For their team competing in the U-17 Girls Premier Group, it was redemption after falling short in the national final in last year’s National Cup Finals U-16 girls division. Elite FC also completed its redemption arc, winning the U-16 Girls Super Group after finishing as finalists in last year’s U-15 group. Empire Surf placed two girls teams in the championship round but came up just short in both.

Teams playing on the final day of the boys and girls 2026 National Cup Finals represented a National Cup-record 17 qualifying events, demonstrating continued growth of the cup series and its supporting qualifying events. The Iowa State Cup, National Cup Midwest Regional and National Cup West Regional each sourced three National Cup Finals champions, proving they were among the strongest qualifying paths in the National Cup series this year.
