Changes for 2025-26
:

There were no significant changes to the US Club Soccer registration process. However, please note the following changes:

  • The cost of domestic background screenings increased from $26.85 to $27.55 on August 1, 2025.
  • The USOPC modified its policy to allow a Homeland Security Search to be an accepted form of international records search. Effective October 20, 2025, all US Club Soccer background screenings now include a Homeland Security Search, which eliminates the need for international background screenings.

Changes for the 2026-27 registration season:

  1. Age group formation. US Club Soccer – along with US Youth Soccer and AYSO – will return to age group formation based on Aug 1 – Jul 31, rather than Jan 1-Dec 31. More information is available:

  2. Seasonal Year start date. The first day of the 2026-27 US Club Soccer Seasonal Year (previously known as “Registration Year” or “Governing Season”) is August 1, 2026. This is the earliest day 2026-27 passcards and rosters may be valid.
  3. Registration for ECNL participants. Effective as of June 1, 2026, and moving forward for the 2026-27 season, all US Club Soccer player and staff registration for ECNL participants will take place in GotSport. For more information, please review the following updates:
