Staff Registration


OVERVIEW

  • Who is required to complete US Club Soccer staff registration? In short, anyone who will have regular contact with or authority over Youth Participants. Visit the Who Must Register web page or US Club Soccer’s Policy Manual for details.

FOR 2021-22 REGISTRATION YEAR

For the 2021-22 registration year (July 1, 2021 – July 31, 2022), one is registered with US Club Soccer when the following requirements are completed and current:

Disqualification review

Person being registered & US Club SoccerSelf-certification by person being registered (once), then verified  internally by US Club Soccer.

 

Once the org admin/club registrar adds a person to GotSport with a role of Coach or Manager (catch-all for anyone who is not a coach) and affiliation of US Club, the applicable requirements will be available via the dashboard of that person being registered. Also, a GotSport account will be created for that person if one does not already exist.

PURCHASE OF US CLUB SOCCER STAFF MEMBERSHIP/REGISTRATION:

  • Levels: Competitive, Super Rec, or Rec

  • Notes: Individuals with a 2020-22 staff registration purchased in SportsEngine need to be added  or synced into GotSport for the 2021-22 registration year.

BACKGROUND SCREENING:

A new background screening application and process launched on June 1 for the 2021-22 registration year.

  • Cost:  $18 per application.
     
  • For org adminsInstructions to pre-pay background screening for some or all of your staff members
     
  • Prepaid codes from SportsEngine: For member orgs active with US Club Soccer who have unused prepaid codes from SportsEngine after July 31, 2021, we anticipate transferring the remaining balance into your org’s GotSport account for use with future US Club Soccer background screenings. More information on the logistics and timing of this process will be provided after the 2020-21 registration year concludes. Please contact prepaidcodes@usclubsoccer.org with questions.
     
  • JDP is US Club Soccer’s background screening provider as of the 2021-22 registration year. You may be contacted by JDP if further information is needed.

SAFESPORT TRAINING:

To be eligible for the 2021-22 registration year, SafeSport training must be completed on or after June 1, 2021.

DISQUALIFICATION REVIEW:

This process is completed internally by US Club Soccer administrators and entails checking the person being registered against the various disqualification and suspension lists. In GotSport, the person being registered must submit a brief self-certification form to initiate this process.
